GOVERNOR SUNTAI TO RETURN SOON

Wed, 01/09/2013 - 16:00 -- Sylvanus Agbo

There are indications that Governor Danfulani Danbaba Suntai of  Taraba State will soon return to Nigeria to pilot the affairs of the state.

The Governor was recently discharged from a German hospital where he had been recuperating since he was moved to Germany last year after the Cessna plane he was flying crashed.

Nigeriacalabash learnt that pharmacist Danbaba Danfulani Suntai was moved from the intensive care unit where he had been, two months ago to a general ward, from where he was discharged and is in a rehabiliation centre. His wife, who joined him in Germany delivered twins, a boy and girl, who are said to be doing well.

Recent pictures of Governor Danbaba Suntai indicate that he had regained the weight he lost during his time in the hospital

It was reliably gathered from some of the  associates of the Governor that he had spoken to them on phone and said that he would soon be back to Nigeria. Contrary to news reports, the persons who spoke to the Governor said he was lucid and did not show any sign of amnesia.

Several persons who visited him last week in Germany including a top federal government official, a Senator and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria told Nigeriacalabash that when they were ushered in to see the Governor he called them by their names and did not show any of the signs that some sections of the media had been  alleging he had.

Chairman of the Taraba state chapter of the people’s Democratic Party PDP (Mr. Victor Bala) seen in the picture below is among those who have been to Germany to see the Governor.
